Function and Importance:
Filtering oil mist: During the operation of vacuum pumps, especially oil sealed vacuum pumps, some lubricating oil will be drawn into the vacuum chamber and discharged with the gas. The main function of the oil mist filter element is to capture these oil mist, prevent them from entering the atmosphere, and reduce environmental pollution.
Protection equipment: prevent oil mist from entering subsequent equipment, prevent oil pollution to other components, and extend the service life of other components in the system, such as vacuum coating equipment, vacuum drying equipment, and other related components.
Improving operational efficiency: Through effective filtration, gas flow resistance can be reduced, energy consumption of vacuum pumps can be reduced, operational efficiency of vacuum pumps can be improved, and operating costs can be lowered.
Recycling lubricating oil: The intercepted oil mist is condensed into oil droplets to achieve the recycling and reuse of lubricating oil, reducing the cost of using vacuum pump oil and also reducing the waste of lubricating oil.
Principle of Filtration:
The droplets of oil, water and other liquids are captured by the ultrafine fibers inside the coalescer. These micron-sized fibers form a tortuous channel for the airflow, forcing solid particles and liquid droplets to collide, diffuse and intercept directly, and intercept directly. Under the action of this filtering mechanism, it is captured by the ultrafine fibers, and the surface tension of the liquid causes the small droplets to coalesce into larger droplets. Due to gravity, the large droplets settle to the bottom of the container.
The glass fiber coalescing filter element is made of high-density gradient glass fiber. In order to reduce damage and loss, it is designed as an integral monolithic tube structure. The surface of the filter element is treated with hydrophobic and oleophobic treatment, which can meet the requirements of various precision levels.
Polyester fiber coalescence filter element The filter element is usually made of polyester fiber synthetic material, which has good compatibility with various fluids. The filter element is spirally rolled with a multi-layer structure, and each layer uses fibers with different properties. The expected filtration accuracy can be achieved by controlling the shape, size, thickness and density of each layer of fibers.
The coalescing filter element mainly uses surface-treated glass fiber or polyester fiber as the coalescing medium. The structure of the filter material is specially designed to make the filter medium have good coalescence performance. The filtration accuracy can reach 0.1μm.
