Choose a Gas Filter Based On These 5 Key Points:
1. What gas to filter (most important)
Compressed air → ordinary polyester/fiberglass filter cartridge
Natural gas, coal gas → specialized natural gas filter cartridge
High temperature/corrosive gas → stainless steel filter element, fluorine rubber seal
Oil and water content are high → Choose a combination of separation and filtration
2. Filtering accuracy (determines cleanliness)
Dust removal and impurity removal: 5-20 μ m
Precision oil mist removal: 0.01~1 μ m
Coarse protection: 40-100 μ m
3. Work pressure and flow rate
Pressure too high: High pressure gas filter element must be selected
Insufficient flow: Will cause significant pressure drop and equipment fatigue
→ Select according to the Nm ³/h, m ³/min, and pressure MPa on the equipment nameplate
4. Working temperature
Room temperature: NBR nitrile seal
High temperature (>80 ℃): FKM/EPDM fluororubber
Extremely high temperature: all stainless steel metal filter element
5. Interface/installation dimensions
Threads, quick couplings, flanges, clamps, pull rods
It must be consistent with the original length, outer diameter, and interface in order to be interchangeable
